Hi there, I recently purchased the new CUH-1216a model of the PS4. It's definitely not as noisy as the older models, but instead of sounding like a hairdryer is on, the fan does make a rather irritating intimitant high pitch frequency noise during gameplay, which sounds like someone whistling every 20 seconds.
